RTM Therapy
A faster, effective approach to trauma relief
You don’t have to relive painful memories to heal from them.
What is RTM Therapy?
Reconsolidation of Traumatic Memories (RTM) is a structured, evidence-based approach that helps the brain reprocess how traumatic memories are stored.
Instead of focusing on repeatedly talking through painful experiences, RTM works by gently changing how those memories are held in the mind—so they no longer trigger the same emotional intensity. This allows individuals to remember what happened without feeling overwhelmed by it.
Why RTM is different?
No Reliving Required
You are not asked to re-experience traumatic events. The process is structured to feel safe and manageable.
Neurologically Based Intervention
RTM works with how the brain stores and processes memory, rather than focusing only on talking through the experience.
Faster Results
Many individuals experience meaningful relief in just a few sessions, rather than months or years of therapy.
“Many clients experience significant relief in as little as 3 sessions.”
RTM has been used successfully with veterans, trauma survivors, and individuals experiencing persistent anxiety linked to past experiences.
RTM may help if you are experiencing:
PTSD or past trauma
Anxiety connected to specific memories
Recurring emotional triggers
Nightmares or intrusive thoughts
Lingering distress from past events
What to expect?
Step 1
We begin by understanding what you’re experiencing and identifying the memories connected to it.
Step 2
You are guided through a structured process that works with how memory is stored, without overwhelming emotional exposure.
Step 3
Over time, the emotional intensity connected to the memory begins to decrease.
Step 4
The memory remains, but it no longer carries the same distress or impact.
This process is designed to be gentle, structured, and supportive.
You remain in control throughout the entire process, and we move at a pace that feels safe and comfortable for you.
